Policies for Massage
Appointment times are specific: You are encouraged to arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. The appointment starts in and ends in the allotted time frame. Sessions that run short because the client arrived late will run no more than 5 minutes past the scheduled end time and be charged the full amount.
24 hour cancellation policy: Appointments canceled or changed within the 24-hour window for non-emergency reasons will be charged the full fee. Appointments canceled before the 24-hour window will not be charged. Emergency cancellations, including sickness, will be determined at the practitioner’s discretion.
Treatment attire and personal conduct: Please arrive clean and in comfortable clothing for your appointment. No alcohol or illicit drug consumption before your session will be tolerated and your therapist reserves the right to reschedule your appointment for another date.
Payment is due at the time of service: The client agrees to pay $60 for a 30-minute session, $85 for a 60-minute session or $115 for a 90-minute session. Acceptable forms of payments are cash, credit car or check. Multi-session packages are available for purchase. Payment for such packages must be made at the time the first service is rendered.
Clients are provided with competent and professional services: Each session will address your specific needs. The therapists performs service only for which she is qualified and licensed.
Clients agree to keep open communication with the therapist: f you experience pain or discomfort during the session, please immediately inform the therapist so that pressure/strokes can be adjusted to your level of comfort. Also, please notify the therapist of all known medical conditions and injuries and inform the therapist of any changes in your health and medical condition. I understand that there shall be no liability on the therapist’s part should I forget to do so.
Privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times: Personal and professional boundaries are respected. During the massage, clients are draped with a sheet at all times and only parts of the body that are being worked on are uncovered. Genitals will always remain covered. Sexual behavior of any type will not be tolerated. If the practitioner feels at any point this line had been crossed, the session will end immediately and the full amount will be charged to the client.
Education and scope of practice: I understand that massage therapy is provided for stress reduction, relaxation, relief from muscular tension, and improvement of circulation and energy flow. I also understand that the services offered today are not a substitute for medical care. I understand that my therapist is not a licensed physician and as such is not qualified to perform spinal or skeletal adjustments, diagnose, prescribe, or treat physical or mental illness. I further understand my therapist is certified by California Massage Therapy Council with is not a part of the state of California. I understand my therapist has completed a 500-hour massage therapy training, college courses and continuing education classes totaling over 1000 hours of education.
